It is considered as a keyword on search engines which helps your site appear higher up in search results. One more advantage is that sites with .xxx extension are listed on a featured directory which receives plenty of visitors every day.
Registration notes:
- Minimum characters: 3.
- Maximum characters: 63.
- Maximum registration period: 10 years.
- IDN: not supported.
- Hyphen usage: except at the beginning or end of the domain name.
- WhoIs Guard / ID Protection: not supported.
- Registration period after transfer from another registrar to us: extends according to picked prolongation period. Extra fee is applied.
- If the domain owner should be changed, the current registrant should provide the Sponsored Community ID of the new one (you may find the details about the Sponsored Community ID below).
Important:
The domain registrant should be a Member of the .xxx Sponsored Community and provide ICM Registry Member ID (token). To register such a domain you should first complete the Sponsored Community Membership Application, which can be requested here. You may find the details on how to fill out this form here. This token can be also used to register new .xxx domains in future.
However, you don’t have to register such ID if you are planning just to reserve a domain name from being booked by somebody else. In this case the domain will have serverHold status and not resolve.
