Does R1Soft CDP backup support OpenVZ VPS? Print

Unfortunately, R1Soft backup cannot be deployed on OpenVZ VPS. When setting up CDP backup, kernel needs modifying. Since all virtual machines on OpenVZ work with the same kernel, it's not possible to use CDP backup for VPS built on this type of virtualization.
CDP backup technology can be used on VPS built on XEN, Hyper-V and KVM virtualization.
