Step 1. Main server IP address change
To change the main IP address of your VPS server you need to log into SolusVM control panel, go to the Network Tab of VPS Controls Frame and click Set as Main IP Address button to the left of the new IP address.
Step 2. Control Panel IP address update
First of all, you need to change the license IP-address (ISPmanager license itself). If you ordered the panel with vps.us then contact us and we will change the license IP for you, in other case - go to the company where you bought this software.
After the license IP is changed you need to update the control panel IP address itself. On this step you need to delete the license file and restart the control panel. please, use the following command:
rm /usr/local/ispmgr/etc/ispmgr.lic
killall ispmgr
Open the contol panel in your browser for the new license file to be downloaded automatically.
Note:If the license file does not upload automatically (for example, if there are several IP-addresses on the server, and the one with the license is not the first in the network interface), you need to download it manually by running the command below:
wget -O /usr/local/ispmgr/etc/ispmgr.lic 'http://lic.ispsystem.com/ispmgr.lic?ip=server_ip_address'
Step 3. The domain name IP address change
To change the IP address of the existing domain name, go to Domain > WWW > choose the domain name out of the list > press “Change” button. Then choose the IP address in the drop down list and press “OK”.
Note: If you have ordered one of our cheap dedicated servers, you need to contact us to change the server IP for you.
